About me

A warm, empathic and genuine person, I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and life experiences at a pace that is comfortable for you.

I am a qualified, supervised and fully insured psychodynamic counsellor who is registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abides by their code of conduct and ethics. My core training is accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and before establishing a private practice, I worked with Gloucestershire Counselling Service (GCS) for several years. At GCS, I gained experience of supporting clients from all walks of life, with a wide range of issues that included: relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, loss, loneliness, stress and anger.

Prior to training as a counsellor, I worked in HR and Internal Communications. Colleagues would often share their concerns about work and their wider life and relationships with me during meetings and I wanted to be able to offer them deeper and more meaningful support. This wish, coupled with my own life experiences, led to me to embark on a new path.
